The difficult we do immediately: The impossible takes a little longer(fighting CB’s during WW II).

BMS Industrial Technologies I
First year students will start the year off by learning how to read a ruler. This is the basis of everything that will be done in this class. Drafting 3-D shapes follow. This helps student visualize how there projects may look before they start to build them. This gives the student that abality to have a immage and measurements to work from. This aids in all endevors in this class. Later students will build wood projects, CO2 cars, rockets, rocket cars. All aspects are heavily vested in science and math concepts that translate to and from the classroom due to the real life aplication that has been made. To wrap up the year students dive into the different types of energy that we use everyday, which hopefully give us a better understanding of the what and whys of the energy we use on a daily basis and the energy we use in the future. During this unit the student can expect to build different solar, wind, and other types of energy projects that help explain what is being studied. Passing a safety test is required for this cource.
BMS Industrial TechnologiesII
Second year students spend most of the year working on a variety of projects. Second year students start off by reviewing the basic concepts of the previous years. Instead of drafting 3-D shapes second year students spend that time studying and producing architectural designs and blueprints. We then immediately go into the shop and start building. This will take the remainder of the year. All students will make the same or simular projects. This method reduces waste, makes the class more productive, and reduces many discipline problems. Passing a safety test is also required to take this course.
